I am a tonal realist portrait painter with original works in corporate and private collections round Australia, USA and Hong Kong. I have my own gallery which the public visits. When you have public coming in you never know what will happen next. One day I had a group in the gallery showing them the oil painted portraits on the walls. "This one was hung in Federal Parliament House in Canberra", "This one was in a National show in Victoria" "That one was hung in NSW Art Gallery" “those were in major shows” etc etc..." They are hung as demonstration works for portrait commissions in a tonal realist style. Clearly this group had no interest in tonal realism painting. Under the paintings were some bench seats covered with paint splatte...
