This started as a simple tattoo design and I added more to it to look more Mucha inspired as well as have more design overall. The woman is actually a design for the Norse goddess Hel. Which is why half of her looks the way it does. The more greenish part of her is the half that is decayed.

Hel was one of the children of the trickster god Loki, and her kingdom was said to lie downward and northward. One half of her body is dead/ a corpse and the other side is alive/ "Young Maiden"

Hela wouldn't say she's a villain. She's the goddess of death, and Thor's greatest villain! Strong female characters can be some of the fiercest warriors in the galaxy. Thor only wishes he could be as fierce as his Hela, but bringing about Ragnarok is all in a day’s work for the Goddess of Death. We can never have enough strong women, girls, feminist, and the men and husbands, and wives who embrace them.

Hel, Goddess of Death in Norse mythology, this is my interpretation of her. I wanted to give a tarot card style to the illustration.

This is Hel, Hela of the Norns, Halja, the Death Queen, Mistress of the Darkness, Asgardian Goddess of Death, Ruler of Hel and Niffleheim, daughter of Loki.
