Psalm 148:3 says “...praise him all you shining stars”. And Psalm 147:4-5 reminds us that “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” I pray that when we look up into the night sky we will marvel at God’s amazing creation. That we will get a glimpse of how big he is and how small we are.

There is a cover song of Weezer's 'Island in the Sun' sung by a girl named Rin (you can find the song on Soundcloud or Youtube its great). The cover has a different tone than the original and I really liked her take on it. I was reminded of when I was traveling around the Costa Brava meeting wonderful people; just with my old soccer bag and a longing for adventure. From Rin's cover I was inspired to make this digital painting. I put in my childhood nostalgia for the green ranger from Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, my backpacking days in Spain, and my mysticism of wolves. I also put in a who I imagined Rin would be, however how she looks like pales in comparison to my creation.
