It really does frustrate me and somewhat annoy me that people think, humans think - that the preservation of birds and in this case, particularly seabirds, is better managed by a colonial empire, such as Great Britain - by a process of a *'steel ring being applied on one leg and a coloured identifying ring on the other'*... in this case blue. The ringing scheme aims to 'monitor survival rates of birds' and 'collect information about their movements'... but what ultimately annoys, and downright pisses me off - is that we are NOT successfully implementing precautionary measures for avian survival in the first instance and so as such the pseudo 'ball and chain' which we are placing upon these beautiful birds - is just an encumbrance and...
