*Rock Ferry, June 2019* The Black Tor II fast ferry, leaving Padstow en route to the village of Rock, on the opposite side of the River Camel estuary (Cornwall, England). The stretch of sand between the harbour entrance and the river is the 'Town Bar', not to be confused with the nearby 'Doom Bar', the brand name of a popular local beer. Rock Ferry (or Rockferry) was also the name of a song by soul singer Duffy, who would apparently build her house with sorrow there. Perhaps she wasn't keen on Doom Bar!
