Back printed race number with 13 upside down. Rule 13 states that if you draw the unlucky Number 13, turn it upside down to counter-act its negative energy. Cyclists being a bit superstitious always do this, that's the rule. Number is in red to show combaitivity award, or rider with the most "fighting spirit". Cycling superstition rule #13.

I cycled this mountain a few years back with the road still emblazoned with the legends who has raced up it just a month before me.

In 2022 the women’s Tour de France will be (for the first time ever!) an eight stage race. This Queen of the Mountains Alpe d'Huez design is in celebration of this historical cycling event, the inaugural Tour de France Femmes! As women’s cycling continues to progress we look forward to seeing this race feature climbs over every famous French mountain pass.
