Design derived from an antique print in "Abhandlungen der Naturhistorischen Gesellschaft zu Nrnberg" (1852)

Heracles went to Delphi to ask what to do in order to be expiated from the murder of Iphitos. When the Pythia did not give him an omen Heracles grabbed the tripod on which she used to sit to give her oracles. Apollo tried to prevent him from doing so and this ended up with Zeus having to stop the fight between the god and the hero.

I recreated a design from a 4th century BC Greek vase from Papua New Guinea. No kidding. The captain of a Greek vessel got lost on its way home. Evil and beautiful Mermaids had given him wrong directions and it took him 10 years to come back. Anyway, that's the story he told his wife.

For his tenth labor, Hercules had to sail to the end of the world to kill the 3 headed monster Geryon to bring back his cattle. I reproduced the design of a magnificent Greek vase painted by Euphrosios. This design is very close to the original colors of the red figure vase. I created an other version differently colored.

Herakles fought Antaeus on his way to the Garden of Hesperides as his 11th Labour. When he realized that he could not beat Antaeus by throwing or pinning him. He lifted him from the ground and crushed him to death in a bear hug.

I reproduced the design of a magnificent 5th century BC red figure Greek vase painted by Euphrosios. These colors differ from the original vase, a different version, closer to the original, is also available in this shop.

This design is inspired from a bronze shield strap describing Herakles killing the Nemean lion. Hercules' first task was to bring King Erystheus the skin of this invulnerable lion which terrorized the hills around Nemea.
