The Perito Moreno Glacier ends in Lake Argentino near the town El Calafate in Argentina. I have visited the place in Summer and were also with a boat on both sides of the glacier. The glacier is hitting the eastern shore of the lake and forms an ice bridge which regularly colapses. Last time in March 2016 (next time in 2020?). The image shows the southern side of the glacier. One day boat cruise on Lago Argentino. The lake is part of Argentina’s Glacier National Park.The cruise passes several glaciers as Upsala, Spegazzini, and Perito Moreno Glacier. The highlight to me was the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is visible in the background of the image. The image was taken on the way back to Puerto Bandera, starting point of the boat cruise.
