The Oldsmobile Kids Hoodies

I based my composition on the iconic cabin, the car and of course the demonic possessions themselves. Using a few reference images from the film, I managed to work together this composition and set to work painting it. Because it's a horror piece and should reflect the hand crafted aesthetic of the movie, I worked quite rough on a lot of this painting, going for a more expressionist take than my usual approach. I'm very satisfied with the final piece and especially with the title treatment added to the piece, I think it works really well as a retro horror poster that would fit nicely to the original marketing.

Evil Dead II (also known in publicity materials as Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn)5 is a 1987 American supernatural horror film directed by Sam Raimi, and a parody sequel to the 1981 horror film The Evil Dead.678 Written by Raimi and Scott Spiegel, Evil Dead II was produced by Robert Tapert and stars Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, who vacations with his girlfriend to a remote cabin in the woods. He discovers an audio tape of recitations from a book of ancient texts, and when the recording is played, it unleashes a number of demons which possess and torment him.

An original design I made for Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" movie. I based its style off of those old car manuals that you'd see back in the day, of course featuring an Oldsmobile just as seen in the movie. This one has Raimi's name in red instead of black, which appears on my other version of this design. If you're interested, I did two more of these types of designs for the series; one for "Evil Dead 2" and one for "Army of Darkness." Both of those follow a similar concept which is taken in two very different directions.

Classic rallying, or historic rallying, is a type of road rally suitable for most standard classic cars, with no special equipment needed. These rallies are more about enjoyment than speed, and can be a good introduction to historic motorsport.

'The Dark Half' is a Jekyll and Hyde tale cleverly reformulated as the story of a mild-mannered, primly serious novelist, Thad Beaumont, who has learned, for fun and profit, to give vent to his 'dark half' in a series of violent, anti-social thrillers written under the testosterone-sopped pseudonym, 'George Stark.' Thad sees George as a whisky-slugging, chain-smoking, knife-wielding wild man, who speaks with a Southern accent and drives 1966 Olds Toronado 'High Toned Son of a Bitch' set across the rear end and that was pretty much all you needed to know about George.
