This painting was commissioned by one of my patrons who loves Alaska, and I released limited-edition prints of it. The image is of a K2 Aviation plane flying in front of Denali, the tallest peak in North America. The plane is a De Havilland Beaver, and has skis for landing on glaciers on Denali. During my flight on Alaska Airlines from Anchorage to Fairbanks on a beautiful day I looked out my window and saw Denali in all its glory. The view was so incredible that the pilot flew a bit closer to the mountain so we would all get a better view. So I decided to paint that incredible sight.
