Alice in Wonderland: "She stretched herself up on tiptoe, and peeped over the edge of the mushroom. Her eyes immediately met those of a large blue caterpillar that was sitting on top quietly smoking a long hookah, and taking not the smallest notice of her or anything else." While Alice is in Wonderland, she consults a hookah smoking caterpillar about her size problem. It’s such a bother to only be 3" tall, unless you are a caterpillar.
