Magpie Springs is a vineyard we grow grapes. Our vintage is approxamately in March every year. Our vineyard is in the Adelaide Hills Wine Region only 12mins from McLaren Vale. These secauteurs are designed to pick the fruit. When vintage is on, teams of people arrive at dawn. Someone in the wine industry will recognize what an intense time of year this is.We grow 7 varietals of grapes organically. One day last year we had 150 people onsite picking. Despite what you may think ours is small business. What we produce for ourselves is very boutique and only available onsite - 5 different winemakers buy our fruit. Vintage is a critical time of the year.Years work goes into producing fruit. Its always a miraculous transformation when the nets go on. Pre vintage we have to save our fruit from bird strike!
