This is my watercolor and ink painting of the lifeguard station at the Ft. Walton Beach pier. The Island Pier, formerly known as the Okaloosa Island fishing pier. The pier is 1,262 feet long. This painting is part of my Florida Watercolor Collection.

Winter storms over the piers at Blyth, Northumberland on the North East coast of England. The image has been converted to black and white to emphasize the drama.

Boscombe Pier Number of views as of 22nd May 2019 = 2230. A deserted Boscombe Pier, bathed in early morning January sunlight. Opened in 1889, and several rebuilds later, the structure was closed in 2005 as it was deemed to be unsafe. Thankfully it was restored and re-opened in 2008. Website Nothing To See Here named it Britain’s coolest pier in 2009 and the National Piers Society voted it Pier of the Year in 2010. Date: 21st January 2012.

And the story of my craving for fish on that one Lisbon morning continues. As I walk the long walk along the endless path from Casilhas to Boca Do Vento, this is one of the spots that I came across for fine dining overlooking the Tagus River. Even though the location was quite intriguing and the scenery was beautiful, I decided that it wasn't time for lunch yet. And I kept walking. And I'm glad I did. Watch out for the rest of the story in a few more images.
