As a musician I have a love of music and art and have combined these two passions into musically themed images.

All Saints church at Bisham in Berkshire, England sits next to the River Thames between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow and is here seen from the Thames Path. This Grade 2 listed building dates from the 12th century, the oldest remaining part being the tower seen here with its reflection in the river.

This narrow bridge with pedestrian refuges was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1867 to replace the ferry. It remained as a toll bridge until 1946. This view is from the Thames Path. The view looking upstream towards the lock at Sonning-on-Thames in Berkshire. The first pound lock here dates from 1773, this present one being constructed in 1905. Sonning is a picturesque village just further downstream from the major town of Reading, and was described by Jerome K Jerome in 'Three Men In A Boat' as 'the most fairy-like little nook on the whole river' The village is now home to a number of celebrities.

Looking across the footbridge spanning an arm of the River Thames at Little Wittenham, Oxfordshire. An attractive, lattice-sided bridge, it connects the village of Little Wittenham with the Thames Path leading just upstream to Day's Lock. Until recently the bridge was the setting for the annual Poohsticks Championships!

Looking upstream towards Day's Lock on the River Thames at Little Wittenham. Here the rive flows by the village of Dorchester on Thames, once an important Roman settlement, now famous for its abbey - and being the frequent setting for the TV series 'Midsomer Murders'! Further above the lock is the town of Abingdon whilst downstream the river flows past the hills known as the Wittenham Clumps. In summer the river is busy with boats of all sorts but this image shows a quiet afternoon in spring.

Here we are standing on the Thames Path next to Wallingford Bridge in Oxfordshire and looking over the river to the church of St Peter with its elegant open-work spire. The original church was destroyed by fire during the Civil War, the present one being built in the second half of the 18th century. It is no longer used as a regular place of worship. Wallingford stands between Oxford and Reading and was once an important royal town, the remains of its castle still standing by the river.

Originally there was just one bridge, Caversham Bridge, just further upstream but as the main town absorbed the village of Caversham in the early 1900s, a new bridge was deemed necessary and this structure was finally opened in 1923.

The new foot and cycle bridge over the River Thames at Reading in Berkshire, England, just upstream from the busy road crossing at Reading Bridge. The footbridge, named Christchurch Bridge as the result of a poll, links Caversham to the north with Reading and in particular the station on the south bank. The name reflects historic links with Christchurch Cathedral in Oxford. The bridge was opened in 2017 by the Mayor of Reading with an inaugural game of poohsticks!

Abingdon is situated between Oxford and Didcot and was an important centre in medieval times, particularly because of the abbey of which a few buildings remain. The bridge in the image carries the road from the town centre to Dorchester-on-Thames. This image was captured in late September with the first signs of Autumn. Nikon D7000 Nikkor 18-200

At the end of the day the last rays of sun lighting the boathouses belonging to sports clubs based on the Thames at Caversham, Reading. This stretch of river is often busy with rowing crews, kayakers and canoeists training, but now all is quiet and the boats are stored.

The Thames at Richmond, April 2019 The River Thames at Richmond, West London, England. The imposing building on the opposite bank of the river is the Star & Garter Home, built in 1924 on the site of a former hotel. An apartment at the Star & Garter will set you back in the region of two million pounds. Date: 19th April 2019.

The lovely old mill at Hambleden on the River Thames in Buckinghamshire, sitting just above the exceptionally long weir. Walkers can cross the weir on a footway which leads to Hambleden Lock on the Berkshire bank. From here the Thames Path leads upstream to Henley on Thames and downstream to Marlow. The mill itself has ancient origins and was apparently mentioned in the Domesday Book! More recently it has been converted into flats.

A pair of boat houses on the banks of the River Thames at Mill End near Hambleden, Buckinghamshire. It is early in the season so the moored boat still wears its winter tarpaulin. Nearby is Hambleden Mill which stands immediately above the weir, one of the longest on the Thames.

An impressionist's view of the scene looking across the River Thames at Wallingford in Oxfordshire. Wallingford is a picturesque market town between Reading and Oxford with the river flowing along its northern side, In medieval times it was extremely important as it was thge site of a major royal castle. It was also only the second town in England to receive a Royal Charter from Henry II in 1155.

A digital art view of a riverside scene at Cookham in Berkshire. The late winter sunshine warms up the scene with a family feeding swans under the gold of a willow tree. Cookham, a Thames beauty spot was also home to the artist Sir Stanley Spencer who could be seen wheeling a pram laden with his paining materials round the village and riverside - the inspiration for much of his work. He is buried in the local churchyard.

Looking south across the River Thames from the Buckinghamshire bank to the parish church of All Saints at Bisham in Berkshire, England. The church dates from the 12th century, the squat Norman tower being built around 1175. The buildings were extended over the following years, particularly by the Hoby family who lived in nearby Bisham Abbey. Walking along the Thames Path between Marlow and Henley on Thames, the buildings of both the church and abbey can be seen only a short distance from Marlow.

The Thames between Folly Bridge in Oxford and Iffley . A rowing boat is emerging from under the bridge which joins Boathouse Walk and Christ Church Meadow Walk. Next to this are some of the Oxford College boathouses on a stretch of the river famed for boat racing. Pleasure boats and punts are often to be seen here as well as rowing crews in training.
