Throbbing Gristle is an noise and experimental band from Kingston upon Hull, England, Great Britain. The band, composed of Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Peter Christopherson and fronted by born front-man, transitioned to front-woman Genesis P Orridge. They had an uncompromised artistic and aesthetic view that mixed punk rawness with avant-garde electronic sounds and are considered one of the pioneers of the industrial and noise genre.
