The band, composed of Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Peter Christopherson and fronted by born front-man, transitioned to front-woman Genesis P Orridge. They had an uncompromised artistic and aesthetic view that mixed punk rawness with avant-garde electronic sounds and are considered one of the pioneers of the industrial and noise genre.
