Reflections on a September evening.

The clouds over Lake Ahvenlampi in Luosto explode into colour just after midnight. These were probably some of the most spectacular midnight sun colours I saw on my whole trip, since they filled the whole sky...and the lake below as well!

An early morning 6km ride from Fox Glacier was well worth it to beat the crowds and get this perfect reflection of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman. Who would have thought this area gets 4m of rain a year and is normally under heavy clouds?

Whooper swans migrate from the frozen wastes of Siberia at the end of October and fly south for the winter months. We have thousands of them here in UK right now and they are lovely to watch when they arrive in small flocks. I have tried to imagine a part of their journey in this painterly image, edited in Photoshop CC and Topaz with my own textures.

I wanted to create an ethereal feel to this image, so that iy was like adreamy experience. I took the photo of The Great Blue Heron at Indian Springs in Florida and created the background and textures in Photoshop CC and Topaz Studio.

Reflecting on Lake Powell by Debra Martz At the beginning of a full day on Lake Powell and already wowed by the beauty. We left the marina on a boat tour to the Rainbow Bridge, an one hundred mile round-trip, passed through a narrow channel and then to the wide open space on this huge and beautiful lake filled the rock formations on small islands. The main thing that drew us to this scene as we drove down the E10 into the Lofoten Islands was the sheer calm of the fjord's water beside us. We never saw a body of water this calm again for the rest of our trip! This was my last shot of the evening, and I was a bit sad when a car drove past and lit up the foreground...but it actually added a nice golden touch to the few surviving plants there.
