I suppose the idea was that fascists were so uncool they would literally die if they heard some weedy hippy plinking away at his six string. The meme, like so many, spawned a million imitators. Time, and specifically the present, is the most fragile of all things. Nothing lasts less than a present moment, and yet still it can irrevocably change the future.

This started with the poem which can be found in the image. The imagery of the poem depicts our progression in life, rising from primordial depths, gradually being liberated until we are transformed into the now unimaginable realm beyond. I collage pencil drawing, charcoal markings, photos of found objects from my shelves, as well as paint digitally onto the composition. Most of my work has been using Adobe Photoshop and my mouse. As you look closely at the lines of the poem they will suggest where to start and which way to scroll. I hope it will be a good time of meditating upon your own progression.
