Description: Rosie the Riveter is a symbol of feminism and Girl power. Rosie was such a strong woman, she was adopted by the Labor Movement. Our Rosie Shirt is the perfect female empowerment or labor movement gift. “Rosie the Riveter” is the name of a fictional character who came to symbolize the millions of real women who filled America’s factories, munitions plants, and shipyards during World War II. In later years, Rosie also became an iconic American image in the fight to broaden women’s civil rights, feminism and labor unions.
Description: My husband’s aunt was a Rosie the Riveter, working on airplanes during WWII. She knew more about how to read and follow blueprints than many of her male bosses, but they didn’t listen to her. Women have been fighting for an equal place in society for a long time.
