This is the finished piece that started with the simple honey bee (elsewhere on my gallery) done to use for a logo. I used Prismacolor pencils for the bee and the flowers, but discovered that it was practically impossible to get the background to lay down smoothly on the Duralar with the colored pencils - but it lends itself to the drawing beautifully. So I got out my Raffiné watercolor pencils and experimented on another sheet - I discovered that I could activate the pencil marks (actually wet the pencil before smudging down color) with water on a brush and get it to flow around on the Duralar film similarly to using watercolor or alc...
