Basmala Socks
Description: The are two main component to this piece, one is the Basmala, which is the beginning of every chapter of the Quran (except the ninth) as well as the phrase said before a Muslim undertakes nearly every task. This was rendered in the Kufic style of Arabic Calligraphy, with the ‘Allah’ part of the phrase in Gold Leaf. The Basmala (Arabic: بسملة basmalah), also known by its incipit Bismillāh (Arabic: بِاسم الله, “In the name of God”, is the Islamic phrase bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmبِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”. The second component hidden behind the Basmala, is the Kaaba, in many ways symbolic of the beginning of Islam as well the End Goal for many Muslims.
