Description: A vintage postage stamp tribute to Steve Biko, founder of South Africa's Black Consciousness Movement and one of the most important voices in the anti-apartheid struggle. This design uses a bold halftone portrait style, the South African flag as a symbolic mantle, and authentic stamp detailing — perforated edges and a guilloché wave background — to turn Biko's legacy into wearable, collectible art. Biko's philosophy of Black Consciousness taught that "the most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed" — a call to psychological liberation that helped ignite the Soweto Uprising and reshaped Black identity across the African diaspora. Part of the Pan-African Legacy House World Vintage Stamp Collection

This striking portrait composition features Biko framed by protea flowers, African map silhouette, raised fists of resistance, and broken chains: symbols of psychological liberation, Black pride, and the enduring legacy of South Africa's anti-apartheid struggle. Biko founded the Black Consciousness Movement in the late 1960s, challenging a generation of Black South Africans to reclaim their dignity and identity.
