Description: Kuat Drive Yards (KDY) was a starship manufacturer based on the planet Kuat. The main production facility of Kuat Drive Yards was the Kuat Drive Yards Orbital Shipyards, a ring around the planet Kuat. It produced many of the galaxy's most terrifying symbols of Imperial might, including the Imperial-class Star Destroyer, and also produced walkers such as the All Terrain Defense Pod. It had several subsidiaries, with Kuat Vehicles focusing on civilian ground products and Kuat Systems Engineering producing starfighters.

Description: John Brown and Company of Clydebank was a British marine engineering and shipbuilding firm. It built many notable and world-famous ships including RMS Lusitania, RMS Aquitania, HMS Hood, HMS Repulse, RMS Queen Mary, RMS Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Elizabeth 2. At its height, from 1900 to the 1950s, it was one of the most highly regarded, and internationally famous, shipbuilding companies in the world. However thereafter, along with other UK shipbuilders, John Brown's found it increasingly difficult to compete with the emerging shipyards in Eastern Europe and the far East. In 1968 John Brown's merged with other Clydeside shipyards to form the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders consortium, but that collapsed in 1971.

Description: Lantillian ShipWrights was a corporation from the planet Lantillies in the Mid Rim. It worked in close relation with the Lantillian Spacers' Brotherhood. Lantillian ShipWrights manufactured several types of starships, one of the most famous designs was the GX1 Short Hauler, mainly designed by Project Engineer Shil Tervo. Another product was the Lantillian cruiser. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin in 0 ABY, the company was absorbed by the Tagge Company and many of its designers were fired, including Tervo.
