It turned out (warning: spoiler) that the whole thing... gasp... was just another Trumpian scam, for which the state court fined Donald $25 million (restitution). Once again, the future POTUS escaped serious consequences; no jail time, no fine (many experts felt he should have been hit for $250 mil)!
