The Smurfs is a Belgian comic franchise centered on a fictional colony of small, blue, humanoid creatures who live in mushroom-shaped houses in the forest. The Smurfs was first created and introduced as a series of comic characters by the Belgian comics artist Peyo (the pen name of Pierre Culliford) in 1958, wherein they were known as Les Schtroumpfs.
Tempest is an arcade game released in 1981 that is notable for being the first video game with a selectable difficulty. The game is a Tube Shooter, where the environment is fixed, but is viewed from a 3D perspective. The object is to survive while shooting aliens as they attack from the player controlled spaceship along the near edge of the playfield. The game has 16 unique screens, some of which are tubes that allow the player to fly 360° while others are left to right open fields. When all 16 screens have been played, the sequence repeats with different colors and increased difficulty. Each sequence of levels adds faster and more deadly enemies. The numbered levels stop incrementing after level 99 and become random.

Nostalgia and cuteness in one design! Pacman always takes me back to the good old days of childhood, free from responsibilities and chores( well, aside from feeding my goldfishes). I hope this design reminds you of the good old carefree days :)
"Knight Rider, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless in a world of criminals who operate above the law." That was the narration that opened the 1982 TV drama, Knight Rider. While that gives a pretty good general overview, a more detailed synopsis goes something like this: Reborn, so to speak, after getting shot in the face, Knight dedicates his life to fighting for justice. Billionaire Wilton Knight hires Michael to be the lead field agent in his Knight Foundation's public justice organization, part of which includes the development of KITT, a superpowered, intelligent souped-up Pontiac Trans-Am.

Zaxxon: teaching kids the meaning of the word "isometric" since 1982! Please note that this design is intentionally distressed to create a worn, vintage look. It is also available in a "clean" version from the same artist.
