Mugs
Description: "When sleeping women wake, mountains tremble." This old Chinese proverb becomes increasingly relevant today, as we discover our power to #RESIST oppression when we're #StrongerTogether. The word "mountains" is illustrated with my own photo of the Sandia Mountains east of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Description: Nevertheless, she persisted! Dedicated to the brave women everywhere who persist in fighting for a better day, a better life, a better world for all of us! Borne of the misogyny and racism of the Senate GOP, now a meme celebrating the strength and persistence of the women and men who RESIST the authoritarian takeover of the 45* and his regime.
Description: Pink and green are the colors of the Heart Chakra, and they're put to good use here in this bold, graphic heart embellished with flourishes, gem-like designs, and the illusion of sparkle. This design was made under the support and direction of my my Patreon project - please visit Patreon.com/jan4insight for info on how you can support my project to create colorful healing through Art and Craft!
Description: "They tried to bury us, they did not know we were seeds." From the writings of Greek poet Dinos Christianopoulos, penned during the mid-1970s, to the Zapatista movement - this inspiring quote has become known as a Mexican proverb, used liberally during the Occupy and other protest movements as an expression of the enduring struggle for human rights. Now it inspires the #Resistance movement - how appropriate as we look back after a year of resisting the illegitimate regime of 45. Here we are, still persisting, still pushing back, still emerging from the ground up to sprout new Resisters every day. Like a seed!
Description: Here's to the intrepid raccoon who united the world! Through the day and into the early hours, the world watched as a brave and plucky young raccoon scaled a 24-story building in St. Paul, MN. Wildlife authorities placed humane traps with food on the building's roof, and by 2:30 am local time, the furry adventurer had climbed to the top! By dawn she was found snoozing in the cage, having devoured her meal, and was picked up by wildlife experts and safely released in proper raccoon habitat. For one of the brightest, most heartfelt moments of 2018, we thank the one and only #mprRaccoon.
Description: The rallying cry #StillWithHer is accompanied by the iconic image of Hillary Clinton as Madame Badass in sunglasses! By landslide popular vote, by all rights - She should be President! For everyone who fought for her, voted for her, and is still with her - this shirt's for you!
Description: Proud to be a Nasty Woman who's ready to #RESIST everything the deplorable Trump administration stands for! Design features a bright pink pussy hat, the iconic headwear of the Women's March movement. Women, especially, have a stake in the RESISTANCE - as well as joining with and leading all people who work to embody our vision of unity and good. Because in these ugly times, resistance is beautiful.
Description: You don't mess with Congressional Rep. Maxine Waters! When she asks a questions, she wants answers - and she won't give up her time to listen to a bunch of waffling, mealy-mouthed distraction. From the viral video of her great moment on July 28, 2017 - and a great role model for anyone in the Resistance!
Description: So that's what the right-wingers are now calling Hillary Clinton? If being honest and forthright while courageously standing up for the rights of other is "behaving badly" - then count me in! And you, and you, and you too! This design is for all you badly-behaving feminist women and men, everywhere!
Description: In the aftermath of the appalling results of the 2016, we pick ourselves up, shake ourselves out of the shock, and plan our ways to #RESIST. The rainbow symbolizes the coming together all colors, all choices to love, all people who work to embody our vision of unity and good. Because in these ugly times, resistance is beautiful.
Description: This organic mandala design fairly glows in neon-bright colors set off by black, rolling against a painted backdrop that resembles a galaxy drifting in space. Its petal-like shapes spiral like a whorl of leaves opening on a flower bud; the design is based on the plan of an artichoke - illustrating the fractal qualities of flowers, vegetables, and other organic structures. Based on a mixed-media art piece I created using acrylic paints, gel markers, and tissue-paper overlay on canvas board.
