From the writings of Greek poet Dinos Christianopoulos, penned during the mid-1970s, to the Zapatista movement - this inspiring quote has become known as a Mexican proverb, used liberally during the Occupy and other protest movements as an expression of the enduring struggle for human rights. Now it inspires the #Resistance movement - how appropriate as we look back after a year of resisting the illegitimate regime of 45. Here we are, still persisting, still pushing back, still emerging from the ground up to sprout new Resisters every day. Like a seed!

Here's to the intrepid raccoon who united the world! Through the day and into the early hours, the world watched as a brave and plucky young raccoon scaled a 24-story building in St. Paul, MN. Wildlife authorities placed humane traps with food on the building's roof, and by 2:30 am local time, the furry adventurer had climbed to the top! By dawn she was found snoozing in the cage, having devoured her meal, and was picked up by wildlife experts and safely released in proper raccoon habitat. For one of the brightest, most heartfelt moments of 2018, we thank the one and only #mprRaccoon.
