Aeneas T-Shirts
Description: Portrait of Aeneas carrying his elderly father Anchises to safety from Troy as it falls to the Greeks. Although a character in the Iliad, Aeneas received full narrative treatment in Virgil's epic poem AENEID, which follows his wanderings from Troy to Italy and casts him as an ancestor of Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome.
Description: In ancient Greek and Roman mythology Aeneas was a legendary Trojan hero, portrayed in the epics of the Iliad and the Roman Aeneid. He was the leader of the Dardanians and main lieutenant of Hector. Aeneas was protected by Aphrodite and Apollo in the war.
This part of the Aeneid never fails to make me cry, it's so beautifully written and really pulls at my heartstrings. I couldn't get it out of my head for days and I wanted to make a design that I hope does Dido some justice.
