Male bullfrogs aggregate into groups called choruses.To establish social dominance within choruses, bullfrogs demonstrate various forms of aggression through challenges, threats, and other visual & physical displays. Older males tend to acquire more central locations while younger males were restricted to the periphery. This is a frog of larger permanent water bodies, swamps, ponds, and lakes, where it is usually found along the water's edge. On rainy nights, bullfrogs, along with many other amphibians, travel overland, and may be seen in numbers on country roads. Common throughout USA and warmer parts of Canada. Canon 500D, zoom lens.
