Balancing Act Rock Cairn Thankfully someone was kind enough to leave this amazingly balanced rock Cairn for me to photograph on the beach of Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire. A cairn is a man-made pile (or stack) of stones originally used for navigation to mark the route of a trail for others to follow. I'm certain this one was made purely for the fun of doing it and the admiration from their friends. As I said if I had to do this then I would still probably be there. By Paul Thompson Photography
