One of these is the intricate knotwork that was carved into stones by the Picts and Celts. Much of this artwork was couple by depictions of animals, and this was the main inspiration behind this design. With two unicorns (Scotland's national animal), each morphing into knotwork at the bottom, before joining and curling around each other to form a heart and upside down triquetra before ending in a thistle, which is Scotland national flower. This design was very much inspired by my love for Scotland, the culture, and the history.
