This was a very personal work about my coming out experience at 19 years old. I hope it speaks to you!

Celebrating the number 19. Maybe you have a 19th birthday or anniversary to celebrate? Perhaps the number nineteen just has special significance for you. Either way, this retro, vintage style design is a winner!

A back design made to accompany my "Gilead Gunslingers" front print for jersey style shirts. This work is based on Stephen Kings Dark tower series and depicts the Iconic 19 as well as the name of the gunslinger himself.

Nineteen Eighty-Four is a rare work that grows more haunting as its futuristic purgatory becomes more real. Published in 1949, the book offers political satirist George Orwell's nightmarish vision of a totalitarian, bureaucratic world and one poor stiff's attempt to find individuality. The brilliance of the novel is Orwell's prescience of modern life—the ubiquity of television, the distortion of the language—and his ability to construct such a thorough version of hell. Required reading for students since it was published, it ranks among the most terrifying novels ever written.

The Ka-Tet of Nineteen

"Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past."

The Ministry of Truth (Newspeak: Minitrue) is the ministry of propaganda. As with the other ministries in the novel, the name Ministry of Truth is a misnomer because in reality it serves the opposite: it is responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events. However, like the other ministries, the name is also apt because it decides what "truth" is in Oceania. As well as administering "truth", the ministry spreads a new language amongst the populace called Newspeak, in which, for example, "truth" is understood to mean statements like 2 + 2 = 5 when the situation warrants. In keeping with the concept of doublethink, the ministry is thus aptly named in that it creates/manufactures "truth" in the Newspeak sense of the word.

The numbers to form the boogie party decade of the 1970s echo into each other covered in all of the colors of the rainbow like glowing discotheque neon lights as it journeys back to this glorious boogie era.
