Description: A couple of years ago, @pinevilleporcupines had a name-a-team contest. They obviously went with Porcupine, but I think they missed the mark and could have been the Pinecones. It’s unique and a silly idea for a mascot. Here’s my take on the what-if team. I’m not sure how I did on keeping it looking like a pinecone while also keeping it simple. I also made her barefoot so it looked more like a woodland creature, with a bigfoot vibe.

Description: There once was a pirate named Blackbeard, and he roamed the Eastern US coast, specifically North Carolina. People like to associate black bears with Asheville and the mountains, but turns out there are more bears on the Eastern side of the state, near the coast.
