They existed for one year but couldn't compete with the Chicago Cardinals and the Staley team headed by George Halas. The design is a modern one, part of a project to project what defunct NFL teams might look like if they had continued.

Description: Providence had a very odd logo that I've never truly been able to track the origin of. A weird dog / dog man that is unrelated to steam rollers or the town of providence, it's so odd that it defies reinvention. This drawing was in a program between Providence and Pottsville, back when both fielded NFL teams. The color fill was not a part of the original cartoon but both orange and gray were team colors.
Description: The Los Angles Dons were founded in 1946 as a member of the AAFC along with the Cleveland Browns and the San Fransisco 49ers. They had a number of celebrity shareholders and actually out drew the Los Angles Rams during their time. The logo is taken from the wordmark used by the team.
Description: The Miami Seahawks were founded in 1946 as a member of the AAFC along with the Cleveland Browns and the San Fransisco 49ers. They were given a late start and had a number of factors come against them. Because the AAFC scheduled home games for warm weather teams late in the season by the time the Seahawks played their second home game it was obvious they would not make the playoffs and attendance suffered.
Description: The old Canton Bulldogs logo by Rene Sanchez (https://twitter.com/Ren1969_Rene), posted here by his permission. The Canton Bulldogs were an original NFL team. They were a two time NFL champion and featured several NFL Hall of Famers. The team still holds the record for most wins without a loss, compiled over three seasons.

Featuring Fritz Pollard, the Pros narrowly beat out the Decatur Staleys (the current Chicago Bears) and the Buffalo All Americans. Description: The Staten Island Stapletons, or Stapes, were an NFL team from 1929 to 1932. This (as far as I know) an authentic design for a team patch. The team was done in by the small size of their home stadium. The stadium did have one bonus though. The team owner also owned a speakeasy joined to the stadium and after home games the players would go there to share a drink with the fans.
Description: The New York Bulldogs were part of a series of team names used by Ted Collins in an effort to find the right one. They were the Boston Yanks, The Yanks, the New York Bulldogs and the New York Yanks and Dallas Texans. The last iteration of the team eventually became the founding pieces of the Baltimore Colts, who became NFL: Champions in 1958. The logo is original, although the colors have been changed to fit the logo and to provide a more modern color scheme.
Description: The Milwaukee Badgers were an NFL team from 1922 to 1926. They were involved in the 1925 NFL Championship controversy. The artwork is based on what I could find of their logo. It seems more modern than the 1920's but I've never found evidence that it wasn't authentic. The artwork was done as part of series looking at Defunct NFL teams and what their uniforms and logos would have looked like today.
