Description: The Dayton Triangles were one of the original NFL teams, lasting from from 1920 to 1929. The team was made up of players from the three large factories in Dayton, leading to the name the Triangles. This is a colorized version of newspaper artwork used by the team to advertise upcoming games.
Description: The Dayton Triangles were one of the original NFL teams, lasting from from 1920 to 1929. The team was made up of players from the three large factories in Dayton, leading to the name the Triangles. This is a modern re-imagining of the logo, created with the idea that the team had survived and continued to play in the NFL and that this was their current logo and wordmark.
Description: The Buffalo All Americans were one of the founding teams of the NFL. This is a modern version of the team's logo, or more accurately, a version of the image found on their letterhead. The team's colors were black, orange and white. I did a few versions before hitting on this one. It's clean and modern, but also pulls from the vintage image. They were very good early on, with a legitimate claim on the first two championships of the NFL.
Description: The New York Bulldogs were part of a series of team names used by Ted Collins in an effort to find the right one. They were the Boston Yanks, The Yanks, the New York Bulldogs and the New York Yanks and Dallas Texans. The last iteration of the team eventually became the founding pieces of the Baltimore Colts, who became NFL: Champions in 1958. The logo is original, although the colors have been changed to fit the logo and to provide a more modern color scheme.
Description: The Milwaukee Badgers were an NFL team from 1922 to 1926. They were involved in the 1925 NFL Championship controversy. The artwork is based on what I could find of their logo. It seems more modern than the 1920's but I've never found evidence that it wasn't authentic. The artwork was done as part of series looking at Defunct NFL teams and what their uniforms and logos would have looked like today.
