Description: Hark back to the one-time summertime titanic team-ups of the Justice League of American and the Justice Society of America that started in the 1960s, and the particularly uninspiring, unoriginal costume of an adult Robin from the older Earth-2. At least it yielded this funky logo, which showed that Dick Grayson was always Batman’s boy (he eventually found a much better costume in the late ’70s (see https://davescomicheroes.blogspot.com/2014/07/grayson-grown-up-robin.html).
Description: Walt Whitman, one of the nation’s greatest writers and observers of its people, started on the path to literary immortality in 1855, when he self-published “Leaves of Grass” from a corner in the city of Brooklyn (in modern-day Brooklyn Heights). The design was inspired by his image in the work’s first edition — controversial for its content and the image of an “intellectual” dressing like a common workingman — and by the typefaces used in the collection.
