Description: This permanent lighthouse and dwelling was designed by Chief Engineer with the Ballast Board, George Halpin, with some later alterations by Jacob Owen. The cost of the granite tower was £937. The light was established on 1st October 1847, 41 feet above high water, and of 12,000 candle-power. As early as 1877 there were suggestions for improving the power and range of the Kingstown lights. In 1892, the City of Dublin Steam Packet Company, which had a monopoly on the Holyhead-Kingstown mail route, complained to the Commissioners of the poor harbour lighting. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, and brought up in Cork, Gallagher recorded solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s. He was a talented guitarist known for his charismatic performances and dedication to his craft. Gallagher's albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide.Gallagher received a liver transplant in 1995, but died of complications later that year in London, UK at the age of 47.

Description: I did some photo manip to this image the hawk was standing on a bird stand. I overlaid the image and masked it.I had taken the photo of the bird at an open fair, and the scenery is a photo over looking Dungarvin Bay on the same day as I shoot the bird and from the same place. Dungarvin Bay is in Co Waterford Ireland.
Description: This aircraft commemorates the original Dragon EI-ABI which operated Aer Lingus’ first service from Dublin (Baldonnel) to Bristol on 27 May 1936. That original aircraft was sold in the UK in February 1938 and was lost during WWII. This aircraft was built by De Havilland at Hatfield in early 1936 and its first flight was performed by Geoffrey de Havilland himself. Its Certificate of Airworthiness was issued on 18 April 1936, registered in the UK as G-AECZ, and it was operated by several small British operators until it was impressed into military service on 11 October 1939, being later allocated RAF serial AV982. It was restored to the civil register as G-AECZ on 18 June 1946, registered to Air Taxis Ltd of Croydon
