Description: Three trillium flowers grow in an arc from biggest to smallest, pink, white, pink. Surrounded by ferns and other greenery on the leaf strewn forest floor and covered in raindrops from a recent spring shower, these blossoms are typical of the wonders to be found on a hike in the beautiful pacific northwest.
Description: Gentian violet or dark indigo blue colored cracks line the creases on a hand or the cracks in a the mud of a dried lake bed traverse and intersect across a tan or sand colored background sprinkled with sparkling, glittery bokeh orbs. It also resembles a fractured universe. Or a universe seen through the creases of the palm of a hand.
Description: In this softly focused focal black and white macro photograph, a cluster of elegant white bleeding hearts clings together in front of a dark blue background as raindrops on the flowers shine in the light. The gauzy soft finish calls to mind happy memories of a love that lasts.
Description: This black and white photo of battery Pratt at Old Fort Stevens near Hammond, Oregon has been textured to appear aged and distressed giving the abandoned military structure a solemn ghostly feel. The vacant metal doors, open doorways, and barred windows beyond the stairway to the gun emplacements seem to bespeak the lives and toils of men long gone who lived and worked here in defense of the Oregon coastline through many decades beginning in the civil war era and on through a world war.
