Description: The Kansas City Kings were a former NBA basketball team originating as the Rochester Seagrams in 1923 before becoming a part of the NBA as the Rochester Royals in 1945, then eventually the Cleveland Royals before relocating to Kansas City in 1972, changing their team name to the Kings, as to not create confusion with the Kansas City Royals MLB baseball team, and officially starting as the Kansas City-Omaha Kings and eventually settling as just Kansas City Kings in 1975. The team relocated to Sacramento, CA in 1985 and has remained there since, but Kansas City still holds a deep seat in its heart for the former team that consisted of star players such as Nate Archibald and Toby Kimball.
