During Bike Week at Myrtle Beach, I got no nods of acknowledgment or waves from Harley riders because they thought I was riding a rice rocket due to the bike's styling. I was an outcast and learned to ride with no leader, no pack... just the open road, because every rider deserves to ride like a free man, so I embraced the solitude on the roadways.“Ride Free. Parody is that the city was burned to the ground by Sherman's union soldiers in 1865, and very little was left standing of the city. So while many other southern cities still have a lot of beautiful old buildings (Even Charleston and Savannah came out better than Columbia) and monuments and architecture, Columbia was left with little but rubble and chimneys sticking up out of the charred ruins.
