Main Tag:

Description: Let's face it, she can straight up out style anyone - no big-name designers required - just thrift store pieces and an eye for cool. Champion More Power More Speed 1907 Socks
Main Tag:

Description: R.A. and F.D. Stranahan are essentially the founders of Champion Spark Plug Company. Sort of. At the very least, they ended up with the patent on the Champion name which they legally and wisely used to eventually create the largest spark plug manufacturing company in the world. But it certainly didn’t start out that way. More than 20 thousand dollars in debt, and with a company that was fledgling along at best, the brothers had little choice but to move to Toledo when Willys-Overland Motor Company offered R.A. and F.D. a contract under which Champion would become the exclusive spark plug of automobiles manufactured at Willys-Overland. The deal came with the stipulation that the Stranahans must make Toledo their home.

Kingdome Seattle 1976 Socks
Main Tag:

Description: Younger generations and even most transplants probably don't know that there used to be a single stadium where Seattle's CenturyLink Field and T-Mobile Park now sit and they most definitely don't recall the time the entire city crowded around to watch it implode. But it used to be there and it was an epic sight to behold. Yeah, it was arguably ugly, drafty, noisy and probably a bunch of other things too, but the Kingdome was Seattle's stadium. Its name came from the two labels that were floating around during its conception: "King Street Stadium" and the "domed stadium." It opened it's gates in 1976 and was built to last 1,000 years, but barely made it 20 before it began rapidly falling into disrepair being blown up on March 26, 2000.

I Saw The Loveland Frogman 1955 Socks
Main Tag:

Description: According to various legends, the Loveland Frogman was first sighted by a traveling salesman driving along an unnamed Loveland, Ohio road late at night in 1955. In one story, the driver was heading out of the Branch Hill neighborhood when he spotted three figures stood erect on their hind legs along the side of the road, each 3 to 4 feet in height, with leathery skin and frog faces. In other versions of the story, the creatures were spotted under or over a poorly lit bridge, and one held a wand over its head that fired a spray of sparks. In 1972, the Loveland Frogman legend gained renewed attention when a Loveland police officer reported to a colleague that he had seen an animal consistent with descriptions of the frogman.

End The War Work For Peace 1969 Socks
Main Tag:

Description: The Moratorium to End the War in Vietnam was a massive demonstration and teach-in across the United States against America's involvement in the Vietnam War. It took place on October 15, 1969, followed a month later, on November 15, 1969, by a large Moratorium March in Washington, D.C. This was the first time anti-war protests reached the level of a full-fledged mass movement, with Americans from all walks of life and political leanings protested together against the war in Vietnam. The primary message was simply "end the war," in an effort to get people to work for peace instead of more war and death. Sadly, the America's involvement in the conflict wouldn't come until 1975, after close to 60,000 U.S. casualties.

Main Tag:

Description: Founded in Sunnyvale, California during the early '80s, Cyberdyne Systems' products were primarily computer processors, but also made small components for larger manufacturers in the tech industry. The advanced technology from these elements were reverse engineered, rapidly accelerating Cyberdyne Systems into the future, suddenly making them a major player in cutting-edge tech.
