Description: Despite what kit car ads in the back of magazines say, claims of easy assembly and performance are dubious at best. Jim Kellison set out to change that in the late '50s with a grand vision and a beautifully designed car body. Kellison's J-4 was initially offered as a fiberglass coupe ready to be mounted on your choice of chassis. Wanting to deliver a more complete offering, Kellison hired an Indy chassis builder to design a custom box tube frame that was both lighter and stronger than any donor chassis, and could be finished with readily available components. The result was a car that didn't just keep up with the best European models but outperformed them. This design is based on the Kellison 'Springy Thingy' mascot that showed up in 1968.
Description: Greeves Motorcycles was a British motorcycle manufacturer founded by Bert Greeves which produced a range of road bikes, and later, competition mounts for observed trials, scrambles, and motocross racing. By 1962 there were eleven models in the Greeves range. Greeves also built a successful export business and at one time most of the motorcycles produced were going to the US. After many wins in European trials competitions, Greeves entered the US market. The invention of the trail bike with their street-legal off-roader, the Ranger, Greeves had a significant influence on the growth of off-road motorcycle use. As the Japanese entered the market in the early '70s, sales slowed and the company ceased doing business in 1977.
Description: Flesh Gordon is a 1974 superhero sexploitation comedy serving as a spoof of the original Flash Gordon serial from the 1930s. The story sees Emperor Wang, the evil leader of Planet Porno, firing his mighty sex ray weapon at Earth. Wang's sex ray turns everyone into sex fiends, and the only person who can save the Earth is star football player Flesh Gordon. Filled with sexual innuendo and gratuitous nudity, Flesh Gordon is about as campy as they come. It's cheesy and silly, and the fact that it mirrors many of the scenes from the original serial shot for shot makes it even more amazing and a true cult classic.

The company was procured by Terrot Cycles in 1923, and by 1929, Magnat-Debon was a 'sous-marque' of Terrot whereby Terrot bikes would be the latest models, Magnat Debon being identical but a season later and lower priced. The strength of Magnat-Debon was their reputation of being light, economical, and immensely reliable machines.

Description: Alice in Videoland opened its 2,500-square-foot store in Kingston, New York back in 1982 with an inventory of 600 movies on VHS. By the late '80s, the store had outlets in Phoenicia and Saugerties, along with the main Kingston store, and their library of titles grew to 25,000. Like other mom-and-pop video stores, national chains moving into the area made a dent in Alice in Videoland's business, but customers soon found that they liked their local video rental store a lot more and helped to keep the lights on all the way until 2007. Today, the once bustling Alice in Videoland store at 738 Ulster Ave. sits vacant as a silent reminder of days gone by.
Description: Tutankhamun was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who ruled c. 1332 – 1323 BC during the late Eighteenth Dynasty of ancient Egypt. His tomb was discovered in 1922 by British archaeologist Howard Carter in the Valley of The Kings. The quantity and spectacular appearance of the burial goods created a media frenzy, and the tomb became the most famous find in Egyptology. Between 1972 and 1981, an extensive exhibit called 'Treasures of Tutankhamun' toured the world, bringing the artifacts of the tomb to several major cities. Six of those cities were in America, one of them being Seattle, Washington in 1978, and this design is reminiscent of the souvenirs available at this particular show.
Description: Poloron Products was based in New Rochelle, New York, and produced a wide range of products from lawn ornaments and camping equipment to snow blowers and lawnmowers. In 1970, Poloron decided to get into snowmobiles and brought two models to market - the 295cc Cyclone and 299cc Tornado. Manufactured at their Michigan City, Indiana lawnmower factory, Poloron differentiated themselves as an American-made snowmobile manufacturer, putting them in the minority among their contemporaries, though while they made some nice machines, they were terrible at marketing. While the competition was taking photos in the mountains, Poloron used fake winter sets in the studio that looked incredibly cheesy. Needless to say, they never quite caught on.

Description: Sand dunes aren’t the first thing to come to mind when you think of Idaho, but they not only have them, but they are big, and when you sit at the base of St. Anthony Sand Dunes and stare at a near-vertical 300-foot mountain of sand, there is little else that comes to mind. The dunes cover over 41,000 acres and the 5,000-foot elevation means snow in the winter, making this an excellent dune getaway from spring through late fall. Knowing this, it only makes sense that there would be a dune buggy shop nearby in the town of St. Anthony, and that shop was Bob's Buggy Werks. From tune-ups and repairs to custom sand rails and high-performance racing engines, Bob's had ever sand racer covered.

Description: Tenspeed and Brown Shoe is an American detective comedy series originally broadcast between January and June 1980. The series revolved around two private detectives in Los Angeles. E. L. (Early Leroy) "Tenspeed" Turner is a hustler who worked as a private detective to satisfy his parole requirements. His partner Lionel "Brownshoe" Whitney is an archetypal accountant, complete with button-down collars who had always wanted to be a 1940s-style PI. A running joke was his penchant for reading a series of hard-boiled crime novels. Brownshoe was sharper than he seemed (albeit a little naïve) and more reasonable than his career path demanded; he had even received a black belt in karate.

Setting up shop in Kirkland, Washington, he started selling Kimber Leghorns, while simultaneously importing stock from leading breeders across America, Europe, and Japan. He crossed them with the Kimber Leghorn and found one that "nicked" (combined well) with the Kimber line, creating what would become known as the "Nick Chick" Leghorn. The new breed proved to be championship layers, making them extremely profitable for egg producers, and quickly became a success. In 1947, Heisdorf partnered with Bert and Cliff Nelson to establish Heisdorf & Nelson Farms.
Description: Cats are excellent at catching mice because they have evolved with strong natural hunting instincts, making them adept at stalking, pouncing, and quickly capturing small prey like mice. This ability stems from their need to hunt for food in the wild, where mice are readily available and considered an easy target due to their size and lack of defense mechanisms. This '80s Mouserschmitt Squadron design plays on cat's well known reputation for hunting mice and keeping their owner's environment clear of these pesky rodents.

For 57 years, Gotelli's was the go-to place for northern California drag racers and speed freaks looking to shave their elapsed times and get a little more punch off the line, but in 2019 it finally came to an end with the shop lost their lease.

Description: G.I.S.M. was a Japanese punk metal band formed in Tokyo in 1981. Although the guitar style resembled heavy metal in many aspects, GISM was one of the first Japanese hardcore bands, while at the same time drawing influence from the early industrial/avant-garde music scene—something uncommon in punk bands at that time. The acronym GISM has many different variations including Guerrilla Incendiary Sabotage Mutineer, God In the Schizoid Mind, Grand Imperialism Social Murder, among many, many more, though no official definition has ever been given which only added to the band's mystique. GISM came to be widely known in the global punk scene after the song “Endless Blockades for the Pussyfooter” appeared on an International P.E.A.C.E. compilation.

The city has officially been known as San Francisco since 1847, when Washington Allon Bartlett, then serving as the city's alcalde, renamed it from Yerba Buena (Spanish for 'Good Herb'), which had been the name of the first civilian pueblo in San Francisco, as well as the name of Yerba Buena Cove, which the pueblo was on the shore of. Earlier in San Francisco's history, the uninhabited area on the northeastern side was called El Paraje de Yerba Buena.
