He's the cock of the walk! This colorful rooster design was originally an oil painting. The painting used a reference stock photo from ShellDevil of DeviantArt. This reference was used with permission as long as credit is given.
Cowboy Bob is from my "TV Cowboy" series of paintings. He is part of my homage to my childhood infatuation to TV cowboys. Cowboy Bob isn't anyone in particular--I made him up from my imagination. He's a little bit campy and hokey, and that's my intention!
Tunnel View is what everyone sees as soon as they emerge from Highway 41 (going north) in Yosemite National Park. On the left is El Capitan, on the right is Bridalveil Fall, and in the center (background) is Half Dome. I painted this during one of my many visits to Yosemite. I can't get enough of it! It's my favorite place.
He lurks in an old sketchbook of mine, back when I was in art school. He has tales to tell. He's seen things that he can't describe. He has ambitions that dare not be expressed. He's the Elf Man, an elvish man of unknown background and origins. Dare to cast your eyes upon the Enigmatic Elf Man! Drawn with a Rapidograph mechanical ink pen.
I was working on this painting of a cat that was orange, and happened to be on the pale side. The phrase, "Behold a Pale Orange Cat" kept popping in my head. No logical explanation for that phrase, but there it is. So that is the title of this design.
Half Dome from beautiful Yosemite National Park. The design is based on a painting done "en plein air" (painted on location in the park). This design has a vintage painterly look that is a little reminiscent of those old, arty travel posters.
Mirror Lake is a beautiful spot located in Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park in California. This design is based on a painting (painted "en plein air," on location at Mirror Lake). It's been made to resemble those old-time vintage travel posters.
The beautiful California poppy! Each Spring, many Californians flock to places like the Antelope Valley to see fields and fields of these magnificent flowers! They also grow in Arizona and elsewhere in the Southwest. California's State Flower.
