This cat has at least three cats underneath the layers of paint. One day I will post them all together. Anyway, I am finally satisfied that this is as colourful as it can get, at least for now. I have had enough people tell me they like this to prevent me from painting over the top of it, so this is finished.
Acrylics on canvas
40 cm x 30 cm
Original still available.
Acrylics on canvas , 12 in x 24 in - Now finally finished . I had him sitting around for some time, without whiskers, but then decided that whiskers to a cat are all important, so now he has some. I'm pretty sure he is finished now, and has been entered in the Hobson's Bay Spring exhibition. Hope he and his girlfriend will find a new home.

This abstract is possible a new direction for me. I have always painting semi abstract work, where there was a recognizable subject. The original painting has just sold, so that now I know it is finished. Hope that someone will enjoy the artwork on clothing and products.
Acrylics on canvas 36 x 24 inches ( 81cm x 61 cm ) This painting was almost completely painted with palette knives. I love pelicans. They are such comical creatures, yet so graceful and beautiful in flight and on the water.

Watercolour and fine liner on smooth watercolour paper. Just a bit of fun and trying out new paper and unusual format.
Normally I use Arches paper, and was looking smooth watercolour block and found a brand which I'd never heard of at the art store. I liked the panorama format, and price was good, so thought I'd give it a try.
Inspired by my little dog Buddy, who was the best dog ever. He was very special. He gave us so much love and made us laugh . This was created on my iPad with Paper 53 app.
Acrylics on stretched canvas. 12 in x 24 in
This is Mrs Katz after a make over . I had only intended to do a minor touch up, and then got carried away, and now she looks a bit Mexican. I'm a big fan of Mexican style folk art. I did not intentionally try to do a Mexican style. Just kind of happened.

This is a watercolour, I painted a while back. I was wondering how it would look with a black background, and liked it a lot. I painted in the background on procreate, and haven’t yet decided what I will do with the actual painting. We shall see.
I created this over many years, having to set it aside for a long time, because I was not sure what to do next. There are many stages in a work in progress, where you can love a painting in it's unfinished state, and then have to move on, so then again go through many stages where you have to paint over bits you like, and loose the more simpler loveliness. In the end I got there, and it did also sell recently to a lovely young woman, who bought it for her 12 year old son. I hope they love it as much as I did. Sometimes you don't know that you love something until it's gone.
Acrylics on canvas 100 cm x 75 cm
It took a long time to complete this. It used to be a totally different painting, but I wasn't totally happy with it, even though a lot of people told me they liked it a lot. So I decided it needed more colour and depth. This is one of those paintings where I gave myself permission to just let loose and have fun. It was lucky I also had a deadline where I had to finish it, or I'd still be working on it, no doubt. It has been sold at Clayfire Gallery, Daylesford.
You can see and play this as a jigsaw puzzle - just follow the link.

Magicats : A very talented writer, Ellen Hecht, wrote this , inspired by my magicats. Thank, Ellen ! : ))
...
The original design for this was a small colored pencil doodle, which I sold to a friend. I decided to try painting it big in Acrylics. It was a tough challenge, but came out ok. This is 100cm x 75 cm.
Acrylics on canvas , 102 cm x 75 cm .
I painted this to enter in the Rotary Art Show, and if it doesn't sell will go into the Clayfire Gallery. The painting is very much over the top, but I think is wonderful on some of my products, and would work well in a child's room.
This is another slightly altered version of Psychedelic cats. The original is a 20” square painting done in Acrylics on canvas and will be available on Bluethumb.

I painted this after a buyer requested another cat painting the same size and similar style to a another one she purchased from me earlier. I told her I am not good at commissions, because they are too stressful for me, but I told her I would show it to her before I publish it. When I finally finished it, I absolutely loved it, and I knew I was not going to change it. I was sure she wouldn’t like it, but I showed it to her anyway, and she loved it and bought it immediately. For some reason a lot of people loved it, when I shared it on social media. It just about went viral, so, here it is on various products.
My most recent cat painting which I created at the same time as a commission. The other , similar painting was created for a client, and this was an alternative choice, in case the client preferred this one. This one was created with some influence of the client’s description of her cats, but I exercised a lot of artistic licence, for instance adding an extra cat. In the end the client chose the other cat painting, and this one sold very quickly on Bluethumb.

I did a painting of cats onto a wooden palette. It was for a special exhibition, to celebrate the 50 th anniversary of the Hobson’s Bay Arts Society. I have been a member of the HBAS since 2007, and they helped me so much along my journey as an artist. I have always intended to create more palette paintings, but somehow haven’t gotten around to it.

This is an Acrylic painting which I recently listed on Bluethumb, hoping it might sell. I decided to work on it some more, so it is currently getting a makeover. Hopefully, it will end up better than this Kitty. I have another version, which I embellished in procreate. It also may end up on products here.
