It is only for the most experienced big wave surfers.
Description: Shit Pipe got its name from the Hyperion pipe that leads out to sea. The Hyperion plant is, yes, actually a sewage treatment center. Surfers are advised not to paddle out over the pipe, especially when waves are approaching, as the water sucks out forcefully, creating a daunting experience for those caught over it. Description: Zeros in Malibu, CA, is a bustling surf spot perfect for intermediate surfers. This point break offers both left and right-breaking waves over a sandy and rocky bottom. Description: Pismo Beach Pier in San Luis Obispo is an exposed beach break that has consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the northeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the west northwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around high tide. Sometimes crowded. Take care of rips, rocks, locals and sharks.

The beach is right next to the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and is a popular hangout for locals and university students who come to surf, watch the waves, and relax. Description: Toes Beach Jetty in Playa del Rey (PDR to locals) is the northernmost end of Playa del Rey. The beach was named by a group of local surfers one summer day circa 1961 as "Toes Over Beach," "Toes Beach" or just "Toes”, a name derived from the "toes over," "toes over the nose" or the Hang Ten surfing maneuver.
