Black and white illustration of a dwarf mongoose. Common dwarf mongoose (Helogale parvula) are a mongoose species found in parts of Africa. These tiny critters have short fur that is usually red brown to dark brown in colour. Dwarf mongoose live in large family groups and I have often seen them in the pose that I’ve captured here, standing on their back legs whilst being on lookout which is a common pose also often seen in their relation, the meerkat. I made this drawing by hand in ink, using sigma micron pens on Bristol board paper, using one of my own photographs as a reference.

Colourful ink and alcohol marker illustration of a Ocellaris clownfish. Ocellaris clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) or common clonfish are a small species of tropical marine fish found in ocean reefs. Many morphs of this species exist but the most commonly seen are a vibrant red orange with three vertical white stripes which are lined in black. Drawn using ink pens on Bristol board. This drawing is part of a collection of 11 clownfish illustrations, I am fascinated by the exotic clownfish morphs available in the aquarium trade and so wanted to draw some! Each drawing in the collection is available in both black and white and coloured and the whole collection will be available in one print all together!
