In the episode, the Doctor's Wife, by Neil Gaiman, the soul of the Tardis is sucked out of the tardis and put into a woman named Idris. She's finally able to talk to the Doctor, and she says "Are you going to steal me. You have stolen me. You are stealing me. Oh! Tenses are difficult, aren’t they?"

I've No One Else

In the episode of "Vincent and the Doctor," Amy Pond surprising Van Gogh with a garden full of sunflowers, hinting that maybe he'd like to paint them. Van Gogh remarks that sunflowers are always somewhere between living and dying, half-human as they lean towards the sun. And that he finds them a bit disgusting, but a challenge. It's one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who, in part because the story expresses mental illness in a very real way that resonates with me. But also, because I'm an artist heavily influenced by Van Gogh.

While I'm not one to pick favorites when it comes to the Doctor, I am not ashamed to admit that Missy is my favorite regeneration of the Master. Michelle Gomez is simply perfect.

The Doctor is the doctor regardless of the actor portraying the time lord.

A week before the news broke that John Simm would be appearing in Season 10, I tweeted that I was desperate to see a two-master story with Simm and Gomez. I predicted that the banter would be epic. I also predicted that Missy would kill Simm's Master. I didn't predict that Simm's Master would also kill Missy. Either way, as soon as the news broke, I made this to celebrate the fact that my wish came true. Also, it accurately depicts the Doctor's joy in having to deal with both Masters.

I loved the 12th Doctor, but then, I love all the Doctors. That said, his final words hit home harder for me than other regenerations. Especially the emphasis to be kind. There isn't enough kindness in the world.
