Description: His name is Hudson, but we call him Buddy. We have this ancient radio that has cool details and I had an idea to use it as a backdrop for a portrait photo, but when I asked him to pose for me, all I got was goofy grins and serious self-consciousness until I had the bright idea to give him the remote release and let him do it himself. Once he got going, there was no stopping him! As far as he was concerned, I wasn't even there. The delight on his face has got nothing to do with quality time with Mom, and everything to do with 'male-remote-control-delight-response'..... Canon 400D, natural light.

Description: We went on a much awaited and looked forward to family holiday to one of the most beautiful stretches of South African coast (between Mosselbay and George) and on the way everything fell apart. I didn't get to TOUCH my camera for days due to sick kids and various other disasters... sooo disappointing. Took this an hour before we left to go home, cutting our holiday short by a week, one of very few photo's I have from the whole journey. Maybe next time...
Description: Another image from our recent disastrous trip (this is where it all started going wrong.) After travelling uneventfully for about 6 hours we were faced with this river in flood and had to turn back and find an alternate route, which turned out to be a hair-raising adventure in itself. Description: Will probably take this down at some stage but I wanted to encourage my daughter, Tane, who was feeling very down about her art today (her 13 year old sister is very talented!) She told me, she doesn't see the point, her work is no good and it'll never be good enough for redbubble!! (Wonder where she gets that ambition from??) Most of my children mess around with photoshop on a daily basis, I'm sure one day they'll all be very good at it!
Description: Having earlier photographed Grace (6) playing and dancing in front of a pink sheet on the washing line, I later got the idea of having her 'hold' one of the earlier images but keeping still. (She actually held a white sheet of paper onto which I layered the second image.) Both shot the same day using a Canon 400D, natural light.
