Originally created with graphite pencils drawn on Fabriano Ingres pastel paper, depicting a leopard in strong contrasting light. I was drawn to the pose of this wild leopard, photographed by a friend in Africa. The pastel paper has a tight canvas weave texture, giving an interesting result.

'For Fox Sake' was originally a coloured pencil drawing with the addition of a little ink. I was inspired to create this one by a stunning reference photograph taken by a friend, Rebecca from Paint My Photo, particularly because of the strong contrasts and light falling on the face of the beautiful vixen.

A watercolour painting depicting a giraffe with an ox-pecker bird perched on it's nose. Giraffes are such a popular subject although often difficult to place in an attractive composition. I hope, with the addition of the bird that this one fits the bill.

A watercolour painting of a herring gull sat in the window of a wooden beach hut at Southwold. This is a square painting but contains many geometric shapes. Triangle, circle, oblong, square. The addition of the gull finishes the composition off a treat I think.

'Vanguard' was originally a pastel painting. The three white wolves stood on the rocky bluff are portrayed in bright focus in front of the dark forested background, it's blurred effect giving a sense of height and depth to the scene with the detailed rocks bringing the composition together nicely.

'The Scream' is a watercolour painting depicting a scene which could be found on any beach on Britain's coast that still retains an inshore fishing industry. A tangled mass of ropes, floats, nets, fish boxes and other discarded paraphernalia. A seagull is perched on top screaming out to sea while a cat yawns and stretches nonchalantly. The different textures and intricate details of the main elements in this scene took a great many hours to reproduce, based on a photograph taken by a friend, while the shack and surroundings were created from my imagination.

'Down to Earth' was originally a coloured pencil drawing. A baby giraffe captured at rest. A charming picture that would suit any room in the house.
