Speeder bikes, also known as jumpspeeders, were open-air repulsorlift vehicles that emphasized speed and maneuverability over stability. The Jedi used the Undicur-class jumpspeeder, which proved popular with civilians. Another civilian speeder bike was the Joben T-85 speeder bike, used by the Jedi Kanan Jarrus. The Clone Wars saw the development of the CK-6 swoop bikes for use in cold climates,[3] as well as combat speeders designed for the Separatist warlord General Grievous.

Nestled deep in District 9 is a hard to find little spot that serves some of the best craft beer in Johannesburg. The only problem is that you and I can't go. Johnathan Foley, the owner of The Picked Prawn has a strict "Prawns Only" policy. Which is a shame because no one else in town is slinging beer quite this tasty. I had the pleasure of trying Johnathon's beer. I friend of mine smuggled a Growler of their Hazy IPA out of District 9. And it was out of this world! Hopefully in the coming years, The Pickled Prawn will loosen it's policy and allow us to partake in their delcious craft beer.

Sméagol obtained the Ring by murdering his relative Déagol, who found it in the River Anduin. Gollum referred to the Ring as "my precious" or "precious", and it extended his life far beyond natural limits. Centuries of the Ring's influence twisted Gollum's body and mind, and, by the time of the novels, he "loved and hated [the Ring], as he loved and hated himself."

After Vito is shot, Sonny and the rest of the Corleones are unable to make contact with Luca, but assume that this means that the brutal enforcer is already out looking for reprisal. Sonny feels confident that his father's would-be assassins will soon be dead. A traditional Sicilian Mafia message is later sent to the Corleone family: two dead fish wrapped in Brasi's bulletproof vest. The meaning is made clear to the Corleones: "Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes." Brasi's role as personal enforcer/bod But for Grandmom Stampone and all Stampones who have followed her, sleeping with the fishes is my reference to the hard work leading up to an elaborate multicourse celebration of La Vigilia (Eve in Italian), which takes place on Christmas Eve.

After an altercation with Kwakiutl Indians over the land, the mill was built, and its saw was originally powered by the water above the falls it was built next to. The original mill's structure was razed in 1922 and was rebuilt across 25 acres by James’ son, Thomas. The employment had grown to 100 people by 1924.

A little about that NARC plaque: The Kanji inscription reads 'Nihon Jidosha Kyoso Club', which translates pretty much to 'Nippon Automobile Racing Club'. That '11' number relates to the regnal year of Emperor Showa (Hirohito) who ascended the Chrysanthemum Throne in 1925. Add Showa 11 to 1925 and you get 1936, the year in which Tamagawa Speedway was officially opened.

Long before Suzuka Circuit and Fuji Speedway were built, Tamagawa Speedway opened in 9 May, 1936, as Japan’s first purpose-built racing circuit. It was a 1.2 kilometre (or three-quarter mile) asymmetrical oval, with a tightly packed dirt surface. With the backing of the Tokyo Yokohama Electric Railway company (a predecessor of today’s Tokyu Railways), and the Hochi Shimbun newspaper, Fujimoto’s dream was realized when the speedway opened its doors and held its first major competition: The 1st National Automobile Racing Tournament on 7 June, 1936. Fujimoto even raced himself, driving a Bugatti to second place in the 30 kilometre Bosch Cup Race.

Nuka-Cola is the flagship product of the Nuka-Cola Corporation and one of the symbols of United States culture. Introduced in 2044, it rapidly dominated the soft drink market, eventually becoming the most popular soda on the market and a staple of American culture. Bottled and distributed nationwide, Nuka-Cola was available in such numbers that even two centuries after the Great War put a stop to all major bottling operations, Nuka-Cola bottles can still be found in the wastelands in large quantities. In the aftermath of the Great War, Nuka-Cola bottle caps became the de facto currency in most post-War societies.

The wasteland (alternatively wastes) refers to the majority of the Earth's post-nuclear environment in the Fallout universe. During the Great War, it took two brief hours for the nuclear warheads that were fired to change the face of the planet and affect life for many centuries to come. After the atomic fire had ceased, the surface of the Earth was very different. Millions of buildings and cities were demolished or severely damaged, with only a few exceptions. Most of the plants that had once flourished died as the Earth was changed from a diverse landscape to a barren and hot desert, radiation becoming a serious threat to what little life remained.

The Compact Cassette, also commonly called a cassette tape, audio cassette, or simply tape or cassette, is an analog magnetic tape recording format for audio recording and playback. Invented by Lou Ottens and his team at the Dutch company Philips, the Compact Cassette was released in August 1963. Compact Cassettes come in two forms, either containing content as a prerecorded cassette (Musicassette), or as a fully recordable "blank" cassette. Both forms have two sides and are reversible by the user. Although other tape cassette formats have also existed—for example the Microcassette—the generic term cassette tape is normally used to refer to the Compact Cassette because of its ubiquity.
